Green Impact for Health
Glastonbury Health Centre is pleased to announce its involvement with the Green Impact For Health Scheme. This is a national project designed to help GP practices and the NHS become more environmentally friendly and sustainable whilst also benefitting patients.
We are currently promoting inhaler recycling – look out for posters around the practice and ask your pharmacist about recycling your old inhalers. Currently Boots in Glastonbury High Street and Tesco Pharmacy on Wirral Park Road are taking part in the scheme.
Watch this space for more green ideas!
As we enter a New Year we are thinking about how to help our patients stay active and healthy. Making more journeys by foot or by bike is good for us and good for the environment too. We have joined up with Street Parkrun to help make 2019 a more active year. Staff from Glastonbury Health Centre will be making a Parkrun appearance and we welcome you to join us!
Parkrun is designed for everyone even if you have never run before. You can start by walking and do as much or as little as you want. You can count on plenty of encouragement whatever you choose to do. If you are interested then ask us for more information or visit the Street Parkrun web page.
At Glastonbury Health Centre we have been thinking about ways to help our patients make the most of our beautiful outdoor spaces. There are lots of great projects going on locally and we would like to help connect you with them. Ask in the practice or download one of our getting active leaflets or getting outside leaflets.
